HIS PRAISE

“. …His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1b

It is with great joy and praise to the almighty God that I welcome you to the last month of the year 2019, the year of Glory Ahead. We serve a mighty and an amazingly awesome God. He has seen us through 11 months of this year and has crowned the year with His goodness.

His praise shall continually be in our mouth for all He has done in the year 2019, For His Divine presence in January, the All Sufficient God in February, Open heavens in March, divine intervention in April, God’s goodness and mercy in May, my glory and the lifter of my head in June, perfection and rejoicing in July, Limit breaker and new beginning in August, divine fruitfulness in September, sufficient grace in October, and the Burden bearer in November. For all these, His word for us this December is “His praise shall continually be in my mouth, Psalm 34:1b

Praise is telling God how much you appreciate His greatness and beauty and giving Him honor for His kindness and faithfulness.God has saved us, and He looks after and cares for us. If we love God, God promises that He will take all the circumstances that attack us and work them out for our good (Romans 8:28). And on top of this, He has given us eternal life, the glorious privilege of living face to face with Him and serving Him forever and ever. The believer who knows and keeps his mind upon these glorious promises can do nothing but praise Him.

To praise is also to give thanks to God in all situations. We are to thank Him for His presence and power as we walk through trials. Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

In Christ Jesus there is victory and triumph over all situations, no matter how terrible. Therefore, in everything (not for everything)—as we walk through all—be grateful to God for the victory He has given us through Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)

The children of Israel praised God for crossing the Red Sea on dry ground. Hanna praised God for having the son she prayed for. King David praised God for His continuous goodness and mercy. Nehemiah praised God as the wall was completed. But King Jehoshaphat praised God before victory.

Paul and Silas praised God in their difficult time in prison, and the doors of the prison swing open. We also need to praise God for His wonderful works in our lives and in whatever situations we find ourselves.
