Let us give glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ for a new dawn, for the new month of August, and the beautiful sunshine in all horizons.

This month of August you shall:
Arise, shine; For your light has come!

And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1
Light is needed for growth for life of plants and crops. Christ gives us life and helps us to grow spiritually and be fruitful in our Christian life. When we yield to His control, He helps us to mature and become more like Him each day.

Philippians 1:6—Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
The Lord will finish what He started in our lives. He is working in our lives even when we don’t realize it. He works through our victories, defeats, joys, and sufferings.

Light cheers, gives warmth, strength, and energy. In fact, light is used in Alaska to treat or prevent depression from days of total darkness. It’s called “Cabin Fever.” The Lord Jesus Christ cheers, energizes, strengthens, and encourages us too. True joy and peace come from Him and cannot be taken away. He is our joy, our Light!

The glory of the Lord shall be upon you in your spiritual and physical life. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” 3 John 1:2

Concerning your finances, I prophesy that in the name of our loving Jesus Christ “the Lord will rebuke the devourer concerning you; you shall lend to many nations and not borrow.” [Deut.28:12b]

Academically, “—-And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 28:13 Be reminded that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The Lord will surely reward your obedience. You and I will not be victorious, maturing Christians without a close relationship with Jesus Christ. How close are you to the Lord now? Matthew 11:28—Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Welcome to the month of August.

Yours in Him,
Pastor Lillian Haastrup
