Dearly Beloved,
We give God the glory and honor for His goodness and faithfulness towards us in this year 2018. The Lord is good and His mercies endures forever. This is the time of the year that children of God should intensify seeking the face of the Lord for the coming year. The Lord has been faithful to us thus far and He is able to do great and mighty acts in the year 2019, Amen. Our prayer in the month of November 2018 is: Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all day. Psalm 25:4-5
One of the provisions of God for His Children is knowing what direction to go and what path to follow. God answers the prayers of Psalm 25:4-5 in Psalm 32:8 as quotes “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” God promises to instruct, teach, and guide His children and gives attention and insight. He gives comprehension and ability to prosper. The Psalmist says —I have more understanding, than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. Psalm 119:99. The Lord gives insight, discernment, understanding, wisdom, comprehension and instruction which all result in good success.
God gives the believer a purpose in life Jeremiah 29:11. That purpose is to let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven (Matthew 5:16). When you make up your mind to follow the Lord’s leading in your life, you have a plan from God, and it’s a good one, no matter where He leads. The Bible is a book of instructions from God -2 Timothy 3:16-17.
In Genesis chapter 12, God called Abram to separate from his country, kindred, and father’s house to a land that Abram has not been before. Abram ultimately obeyed and events which followed earned him the “father of faith”. The Lord guides, directs, leads and gives instructions on how to prosper Deuteronomy 8:18; Psalm 19:7-8. There was famine in the land and Isaac wanted to go to Egypt where the land was fertile, but God said he should not go. Isaac stayed in the land and sowed a field reaping a hundredfold. God blessed him for his obedience and faith in Him. God promised to take care of Isaac and he kept that promise. Isaac waxed great and went forward. Isaac’s prosperity was so great that the Philistines “envied” him- Genesis 26:12-16. As we yield to the Lord and obey His word, we grow closer to Him and he blesses us.
In Genesis 31, the Lord revealed unto Jacob what to do to expand his flocks and be blessed.
God instructed a widow of the wives of the sons of the prophets in 2 Kings 4:1-8 through prophet Elisha on what to do to pay her debts and live comfortably thereafter.
There are many ways God communicates his leading; through Godly counsels from men and women of God; through the still small voice; waiting on the Lord; through reading the Word of God and many more. What is unique to all is obedience. Obedience is the very best way to show that you believe God, and following God’s direction is rewarding- Deuteronomy 28:1-14
Prayers:
Father, let my Spiritual eyes of understanding be enlightened through your Words, through visions, through dreams, through Your still small voice in Jesus name.
Father, give me the grace and the favor to listen, discern and to obey You all the days of my life in Jesus name.
Father, have Your way , let Your will be done in my life in Jesus name.
Thank you Lord for answered prayers.
God’s Word is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work- 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Dearly beloved, welcome to November 2018, the month of Divine Direction.
