Beloved,
To God be the glory for sparing our lives to witness another new month of December which will usher in the new year 2019. Therefore, Psalm 67:5-7 says Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.
In order to continue to enjoy God’s blessings, the Bible is commanding us in the following scriptures to awake: Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For the uncircumcised and the unclean Shall no longer come to you. Isaiah 52:1 (NKJV)
And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now, our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Romans 13:11 (NKJV)
We are to be aware of time, to watch and pray. If you are without Christ, it is time for you to be saved. 2 Corinthians 6:2- behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
If you are saved, it is time to set yourself apart and work out your salvation with fear and trembling. It is time for revival. Identify and put off every weight that presses you down. Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober, 1 Thessalonians 5:6.
What are the weights that can hinder or disallow revival? It may be in the form of being unequally yoked together with an unbeliever in business or friendship relationships, or having a career, job, ministry and business that constantly distracts you from following the Lord Jesus totally, and which cause you to set your affections on the fleeting things of this world. Anything that constitutes a burden or hindrance to your spiritual wellbeing can weigh you down and weaken your faith in God. Anything that constantly breaks your spiritual focus is a weight that you must lay aside as you run the Christian race. Every care, fear, worry, anxiety, doubt or unbelief that you allow in your heart is a weight that you must lay off you to be awaken. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
It’s time to Seek the Lord. Hosea 10:12-Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he comes and rain righteousness upon you. Therefore, 1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you, Isaiah 60:1.
Welcome to December 2018, the month to Stay Awake and be Strengthened.
Prayer:My Dear Heavenly Father, help me to put aside all the weights that are pulling me down, and let every failure at the edge of breakthroughs and restoration be destroyed in Jesus name. Amen.
