We give God the glory for sparing our lives and keeping us safe during this corona virus. To Him be the glory forever and ever in Jesus name. In this year of the Great Turnaround, the Lord will continue to do great and mighty things in our lives in Jesus name. The Lord told the children of Israel in Exodus 15:26 that:
“If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”
Healing is the process of becoming sound or wholesome again. It is a restoration to a healthy living and this could be in different area of our lives. The healing could be spiritual, physical, financial, academic, marital, professional or family relationship and in whatever area of our lives where there is an inadequacy. 3 John 1:2 says, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
The Lord is the great Healer. God introduced Himself to the Israelites as I am the Lord who healeth you. He was, He is and will continue to be our healer. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord our healer. He is the Great Physician. It is part of His nature to heal all kinds of ailments. The Bible has many examples of different kinds of healing. Healing from poverty, from barrenness, from sickness, from backsliding and many more.
Exodus 23:25-26 – So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days. Be faithful in whatever you do for the Lord. He will remember you for good.
2 Chronicles 7:14- If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. May the Lord heal those who are sick and our land from the effect of Corona virus in Jesus name.
At a time when there was famine in the land of the Philistines where Isaac was sojourning , he wanted to move to Egypt because of the famine, but God told him not to; “And Isaac sowed in that land, and found in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him Genesis 26: 12. Here God healed Isaac from famine and poverty through his obedience to God.
Captain Naaman who was leprous, submitted to the instructions given to Him for healing by prophet Elisha. He washed and dipped in the Jordan seven times, covering his face and head in the process and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean (2 kings 5:14). Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper- 2 Chronicles 20:20b
Jesus Christ healed all manner of diseases brought to Him because God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and Power, and He went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him-Acts 10:38
Matthew 4:23-24- Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.
Today Jesus is still healing all manners of sicknesses and situations because -He bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24.
Healing comes to us in different ways. Some experience total healing, some are given the power and courage to endure their situation. Others are delivered from behaviors that keep them from truly experiencing the healing power of Jesus. Healing comes when we open up our heart to Jesus and He can work His power in our lives.
Jesus said healing is the children’s bread Matt 15:22-29. As a child of God, you have the right to be healed because by His stripes you were healed. Jesus was compassionate. Psalm 145:8 -The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. Jesus was moved with compassion and healed the sick, Matthew 14:14
To receive your healing:
1. Confess and repent of your sins. Ask God for forgiveness – 1 John 1:8-10
2. Forgive others- (Matthew 6:14-15). If we do not forgive other people, God will not hear our prayers (Psalm 66:18).
3. Have faith in God through His words- Romans 10:17 – So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
4. Surrender your whole situations to God in prayers- Matthew 7:7-8. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
5. Be obedient to God’s Word and leading- Exodus 15:26. Obedience to God’s command is very important to obtaining healing.Listen to God and do what He wants you to do to receive your healing. For Isaac, God said do not go down to Egypt, for Naaman, it was go to wash in the Jordan seven times.
6. God could be whispering softly what to do before getting your healing.
7. Faithfully serve the Lord Exodus 23:25-26
