OH LORD LIFT ME UP
“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” (James 4: 10)
Joseph humbled himself in Potiphar’s house and God exalted Joseph to second in command in Egypt. If you want to be promoted, then humble yourself. This is one of God’s formula for success.
Our Lord does the lifting in a supernatural way, and it is God’s way of promoting people. When God lifts you up, no man can demote you. God’s lifting is a positive change in the life of a person. When God lifts up, an ordinary man is made great and sits with honorable men. God’s lifting brings people from dust to the throne. When God decides to lift you up, all atmosphere will change positively for you.
Psalm 113:7-9 He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap, That He may seat him with princes– With the princes of His people. He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!
Philippians 2:8-11— And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name: [10] That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
We can humble ourselves by asking God’s forgiveness and the forgiveness of others we may have wronged or offended. God says He will lift us up when we obey his directives.
Micah 6:8—He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.
Our purpose in life is to bring glory to the Lord, and not to ourselves. On so many occasions, we get unfocused, relying on our know-how rather than looking unto God for an uplift. When we are weak in ourselves, we become strong by being truly dependent upon the Lord Jesus for a lifting. With the Lord on our side, the heaven is our limit. Humble yourself before the Lord, He will help you to overcome the struggles of this life. He will lift you up!
Pray to God and say, Father, lift me up from the miry clay to a solid ground in Jesus name.
The Lord that lifted Mephibosheth from Lodebar to the King’s table in the account of 2 Samuel 9:1-13; and lifted Esther, the slave girl to be Queen in a foreign land will lift you from obscurity to fame in Jesus Mighty Name.
Welcome to the month of August 2018, the month of your divine lifting.
Yours in His Service,
