I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Revelation 3:8

From this passage, the Lord is giving His children access into His unlimited blessings here on earth and in the heavenly places. Apostle Paul indicated in 1 Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Paul quoted from Isaiah 64:4—For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waited for him.

Some things that the Lord has prepared for His children have not come into their thoughts or minds, but God has thought about them. Looking through the Bible, some insights are given into what God has prepared for His children:

1. The Lord has prepared our paths.
What a blessing to know that the Lord is leading our lives and guiding our steps. Knowing this, we can find comfort in conflict and complications, strength in our struggles, and peace amid problems. For those folks who love the Lord, every day is a good day, despite what happens. Your day may not look good, or feel good, but if the Lord is working His will in your life, it is a good day. That is the promise of God’s Word in Romans 8:28—And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

2. He has arranged opportunities to serve Him.
Our lives abound with opportunities to serve the Lord and glorify Him if we will be yielded to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and sensitive to the opportunities around us. We can be a witness for Christ, an encouragement, or a blessing to other people that need love, help, or encouragement. Philippians 2:4—Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

3. He has prepared answers to our prayers.
God has promised to answer our prayers when we petition Him. The answer may be “Yes,” but it also may be “No,” but that is still an answer. He wants us to make our petitions to Him. Sometimes He will answer us before we even call out to Him. Isaiah 65:24—And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

4. He has given us power to serve Him.
The Holy Spirit indwells the believer and empowers him or her as he or she is yielded to the Lord. Acts 1:8—But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

5. He has prepared problems to prune us.
God uses our trials to chasten us and develop spiritual maturity. We saw this in the life of Jonah as Jonah’s experience in the whale turned his life around and headed him into the right direction. * Jonah 1:17—Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

6. He has provided, precious blessings, and an inheritance for us.
Psalm 31:19a—Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee… 1 Peter 1:3-4 … Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that faded not away, reserved in heaven for you,

7. He has prepared a place in heaven and His kingdom for us.
John 14:2-3… In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

We cannot begin to comprehend the wonderful blessings that God has for us now and for eternity. Expect fresh outpourings and infusions of His glory and power. When those blessings come, they will be tender reminders of His love for us. Jeremiah said in Lamentations 3:22-23, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

These prepared open doors and opportunities are meant for His children. Confess and ask for forgiveness of your sins from the Lord. Believe that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead, and you will be saved. Then you will be a partaker of the open doors and opportunities.

Open your heart and eyes wide as we progress in this year 2021 and begin to see and march-through doors of opportunities and breakthroughs in Jesus’ name.

Welcome to March 2021, the month of Open Doors.

Yours in Him,
