They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion. Psalm 84:7

Glory and honor be to the Lord for granting another opportunity to witness the sixth month of the year 2021. The plan of the Lord for His children is to go from strength to strength in His presence.

At conversion, a person receives the power and the strength to become a child of God. John 1:12 in King James version says, But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: When we invite Christ into our hearts, He changes us by His presence and power. Through Christ, we are delivered from the bondage and shackles of sin and giving the strength to become children of God.

To continue the Christian race and to live a victorious life, after conversion, there is a need to go from strength to strength. 2 Corinthians 3:18, says “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Going from strength to strength implies that a child of God has the fire of God burning in his heart and soul. The priorities of the person are dramatically changed from insignificant matters to important ones. God is given His rightful place of being number one in that person’s life. Decisions and choices that are made are not based on selfish opinions or worldly philosophies; they are based on the blueprint of God’s Word. When a child of God is going from strength to strength, there is no telling what God will do with him or her. That which may seem impossible, can become possible when God’s fire bums in a man or woman’s heart and they are totally surrendered to Him. The person who may seem timid, quiet, and in an insignificant position may end up moving mountains with the strength of the Lord. Never underestimate what God can do through you if you yield the total control of your life to Him and let His Spirit fill you.

Peter and John spent time with the Lord and knew Him deeply. They grew from strength to strength when they received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The presence of God in their lives impacted their testimonies. The time they spent in fellowship with God was obvious to others. Acts 4:13—Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

How to grow from strength to strength

1. You must be born again and receive the strength to become a child of God. John 1:12
2. Having communion with the Lord and a craving to Know Him more. Luke 24:32a, Philippians 3:8-10
3. Obedience to the Word of God- Psalm 119:10, Joshua 1:8
4. A Concern for Lost Souls-Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20
5. Motivation for Christ’s coming at the Rapture- Titus 2:13
6. Dedication to God & Cautious Living- Psalm 24:3-4
7. A Contrite Heart or Humility- Galatians 6:14, Micah 6:8

The Holy Spirit equips Christians with the ability to live a godly life for Christ and be effective in serving Him. All Christians have within them spiritual dynamite for service, fellowship, witnessing, and overcoming sinful habits and attitudes. He gives the believer the ability and power to do God’s will. God has given to Christians the power to change, the power to go from strength to strength. He or she can, because true power belongs to God. Psalm 62:11 — And God says, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10.
