“He shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
God is not only opening paths — He is guiding every step with clarity and purpose.
April stands as a prophetic continuation of the year’s mandate: God is doing a new thing, and He is leading His people into fresh paths, new assignments, and unfamiliar territories. If March awakened the spirit, April positions the believer to be guided by God into the “brand new thing” He has begun.
Divine direction is the bridge between awakening and manifestation. Without God’s leading, new beginnings cannot be sustained. But when God directs, every step becomes purposeful, protected, and productive.
The month of divine direction, in the Light of Christ’s Death and Resurrection. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are not only the center of the Christian faith—they are the ultimate expression of God’s divine direction. Every step Jesus took toward the cross, into the grave, and out of the tomb was guided by the Father. And because He rose, we now walk in a new pathway, a new covenant, and a new life.
April, the month we celebrate the resurrection, becomes a prophetic reminder that divine direction flows from the finished work of Christ.
1. The Cross Is the Turning Point of All Divine Direction
Before the resurrection, humanity was lost, wandering, and spiritually blind. But through Christ’s death:
• The old path of sin was closed: “He canceled the record of debt… nailing it to the cross.” — Colossians 2:14 The cross shuts down every path that leads to destruction.
• A new and living way was opened: “A new and living way which He opened for us through the veil…” — Hebrews 10:19–20. Jesus didn’t just save us—He opened a new pathway into God’s presence.
• Divine direction became possible: Before the cross, access to God’s guidance was limited. After the cross, the veil was torn, and believers gained direct access to the Father.
In 2026, your new beginning is rooted in the pathway Jesus opened through His sacrifice.
2. The Resurrection Is God’s Ultimate Demonstration of New Beginnings
The resurrection is the greatest “new thing” God ever did for mankind.
• It marked the beginning of a new creation: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
• It marked the beginning of a new covenant: “This cup is the new covenant in My blood.” — Luke 22:20
• It marked the beginning of a new direction for humanity: The resurrection redirected history, destiny, and eternity.
Just as Jesus rose into a new dimension of glory, April becomes your month to rise into a new direction, new clarity, and new purpose.
How God Gives Divine Direction: God leads His people in multiple ways:
1. Through His Word: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 Scripture is the believer’s compass.
2. Through the Holy Spirit: “He will guide you into all truth.” — John 16:13 The Spirit gives inner witness, conviction, and clarity.
3. Through Godly Counsel: “In the multitude of counselors there is safety.” — Proverbs 11:14 God uses mentors, pastors, and spiritual leaders.
4. Through Peace: “Let the peace of God rule in your hearts.” — Colossians 3:15 Peace is God’s internal confirmation.
5. Through Circumstances and Open Doors: “I have set before you an open door…” — Revelation 3:8 God orchestrates opportunities and closes wrong doors.
Every new beginning in Scripture was accompanied by divine guidance. Before Abraham could step into covenant blessings, God gave him direction: “Get thee out… unto a land that I will show thee.” — Genesis 12:1. New beginnings require movement guided by God’s voice, and Divine direction is not only spiritual—it affects finances, relationships, decisions, and destiny, Isaiah 48:17, “I am the Lord… who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.”
Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall [a]direct your paths.
