Dearly Beloved,
Our God is a very, very great God and He is cloth with Glory, Honor and Power.
Hallelujah to His name forever and ever, Amen.
Welcome to the month of October 2017, the month of Perfection.
THE GOD OF PERFECTION- Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ [Phil. 1:6].
I don’t know what your circumstances are, but if you are a child of God, you will be confident to say God has done a good thing in your life. I am sure you can testify that God has brought you up to the present moment. If you look back over your life you will see how He has led you and provided for your sustenance. The Lord God who was with you in the past is the same God today. He has not changed and He will never change, He will be the same God in your future; He holds your life from now till eternity. Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
God Almighty appeared to Jacob at Bethel and told him in Genesis 28:15 that Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” At this point Jacob was alone and all he had was a staff. The Lord fulfilled His promises to Jacob and he returned from this journey of his life with wives, children, servants and livestock. Jacob said in Genesis 32:10 I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies and of all the truth which You have shown Your servant; for I crossed over this Jordan with my staff, and now I have become two companies. Such miracles shall be your testimony in Jesus Name.
Why are you worried about tomorrow? Jesus Christ says in Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. I want to testify to the glory of the Lord that our God keeps His promises. One of His promises to me is in Exodus 33:14 And God said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” And I believe the Lord because all His promises concerning my family, myself, and the ministry of God have come to pass. For Luke 1:45 says Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Praise the Lord!
The promises of God of Perfection are Yea and Amen. We find in Numbers 23:19 that “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” What the Lord has started He will complete. Faithful is he that called you, who also will do it [1Thess. 5:24]. You can always depend upon God in all situations and at all times.
Dearly beloved, having therefore these promises what manner of person are we to be? Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1. The work begun by God is a good work, it is a work that transforms and changes the life of the believer. May the Lord fill your life with love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. And may the Lord perfect all that concerns you in Jesus Name. Welcome to the month of October 2017, the month of Perfection.
Yours in the Lord,
Pastor (Dr.) Lillian Haastrup
