Remember me, O LORD, with the favor You have toward Your people; Oh, visit me with Your salvation,” Psalm 106:4
To God be the glory for bringing us to the second half of year 2021, the year of God Bless You. A lot has taken place in the past six months; the most prominent being that you are alive to witness the beginning of the second half of the year, the seventh month. Seven indicates perfection. In this month of perfection, the Lord will remember you for good and perfect all that concerns you and your family in Jesus’ name.
The word “remember” on the online Merriam Webster Dictionary means “to recall or think of again” and “to keep in mind for attention or consideration.” “Remember me O Lord,” does not mean that the Lord forgot you, at any time, but it means that you want God to take particular attention to your case. This season the Lord will remember you and take consideration of your case in Jesus’ name.
You may be going through certain situations that seems as if God has forgotten you, you are not alone, it has happened before. Isaiah 49:14-16 -says “But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me, And the Lord has forgotten me.” “Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? The Lord is affirming to you that, even these may forget, but I will not forget you. “Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.”
When the Bible says, God remembered Noah in Genesis 8:1, it does not mean that God forgot Noah’s family and the animals in the Ark, but it meant that the Ark has finished performing its duty of protection and it was time for God to enlarge the coast of Noah and his people. This season, it is your turn to be remembered by God, the Lord will enlarge your coast in Jesus’ name.
Perhaps you are suffering and under a kind of bondage, the God that remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob is the same God today. Exodus 2:23-24, says, “now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So, God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.”
You might have received some promises from God, and it seems to you that it is not happening. Even if you say, “God has not had any covenant with me.” I want to let you know that the over 3,000 promises in the Bible are for you as a child of God and they are Yea and Amen. The Lord is a covenant keeping God, what He has promised, He will bring it to pass. Psalm 105:8-11, 42.
The Bible is full of men and women who were remembered by God at their appointed time. God remembered Manoah’s wife, He visited her, and gave her a male child Samson (Judges 13:3-5). A book of remembrance was opened for Mordecai and God made king Ahasuerus to reward him for a past deed. The king promoted Mordecai. (Esther 6:1-4). Jeremiah prayed to God to remember him when he was thrown into the pit “O Lord, you know; Remember me, visit me, and take vengeance for me on my persecutors. God remembered him, and he was delivered from the pit. (Jeremiah 15:15; 38:1-14).
God will remember you as you commit your life to the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior. May the Lord look upon you and acknowledge you in Jesus’ name.
