The Redeemed Christian Church of God known as RCCG was founded in 1952, with a mandate to take the gospel of salvation to the entire world in line with the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Church is a Bible believing body, where teaching and missionary approach emphasizes holiness and righteous living as the key to a fulfilled life here and in eternity.

Over the years, the church has grown to over 23,000 parishes worldwide (July 2011) with a total congregational strength of over three million worshippers. The church has an appeal to all types of people worldwide, with a determination to teach people in their various geographical areas, stages of secular life and levels of spiritual development.

Presently, there are established missions in many African countries, as well as Europe, Asia, the United States, the Caribbean, Canada, South America and Australia. RCCG has also been involved in establishing schools, rehabilitation centres, child care and support centres.
